Every Time I go to the Grocery Store

First things first, I tend to go to the grocery store late at night. This helps cut down on the number of people there but it must also mean I run into annoying, stupid people. At least it always means I'll get a blog post out of it.

Last night while at the grocery store I stood in line behind a woman who was having trouble remembering how much her kielbasa cost. Then she was paranoid about the bonus card that the clerk gave her, worried about giving up her personal information. Now lets stop for a second and think about that. The clerk handed her the card, he didn't ask for any personal information, no phone number, address, etc. etc. So the only thing she must have been nervous about is the store remembering that she likes to buy kielbasa.

Behind me was a woman with headphones on and was waiting in line to buy two boxes of chicken broth and two packs of gum. About 2/3's of the way through the pricing of the kielbasa the woman behind me let out an exasperated sigh and then shouted: "OH COME ON! JESUS!"

Either she wanted Jesus to hurry up or she wanted the kielbasa woman to hurry up. I felt the need to turn around and ask: "Where exactly do you need to be at 11:45pm with two boxes of chicken broth and gum?" But I didn't.
