Snowmeggeddon '07

The big bad snow storm of '07 left the same way it came in; annoyingly. The snow and rain started falling at the same time. It was quite a sight to wake up to, quite an annoying sight. The snow/rain closed the federal government around 2pm and caused problems all over the metro system. THEN the snow storm had the nerve of leaving ice and snow everywhere! What's worse is that certain cities (I'm looking at you northern Virginia!) have failed, 3 days after the storm, to put down any salt on some roads and sidewalks. What's the deal? Are you waiting for the 'big one'?

At any rate, I have no pictures for the viewing public because this storm doesn't deserve them. Stupid ice, why couldn't we have like 14 feet of snow instead? That would have been cool.

So for those of you who don't want to leave your house and walk on the ice, Prairie Home Companion is there for you. They have finally released part of their show (The News from Lake Wobegon) for podcast. You can subscribe to it here: http://prairiehome.publicradio.org/about/podcast/ for free.

It's feeeeebruuuuuary!

yes, it's February , the most oddly named month of the year. It's also the shortest month of the year, but I'm not going to get into why it is.

A while back I wrote about how being unemployed led to scheduling my days around television shows. Unfortunately day time TV has changed in my time as a productive member of society. I no longer have the great shows to look forward to anymore. There's no more Ed, Third Watch, etc. etc. Now the closest thing to watchable TV is MSNBC and the random episode of Scrubs.

I'm not complaining too much because I'm hoping to be out of this situation soon.

I haven't posted in a while because I really don't have much to talk about but hopefully I'll be back with some story of how I had to interact with crazy people soon.
